Non-Slip Bathtub Mat — User Manual

Please read before first use and keep for future reference.

WARNING

Never leave a child unattended in the bathtub, not even for a moment.

This bath mat reduces the risk of slipping. It does not prevent slips or falls and does not replace adult supervision. Check that the mat is firmly attached before every use.

1 Check your tub

The suction cups need a smooth, non-porous surface to create a seal.

Suitable
Smooth
  • Smooth enameled steel or cast iron tubs
  • Smooth acrylic tubs
  • Smooth glossy fiberglass tubs
Not suitable
Textured
Anti-slip dots
Stone or tile
  • Textured or patterned tub floors
  • Tiled floors and tubs with a built-in anti-slip coating or anti-slip stickers
  • Reglazed, refinished or painted tubs
  • Scratched, porous or damaged surfaces
Quick test: run your hand over the tub floor. If you can feel texture or grip, the suction cups cannot hold reliably.

2 Before first use

  1. 01

Remove the mat from the packaging and lay it flat.

  2. 02

If the mat has creases or bent edges from packaging, pour hot tap water over it or place it in hot tap water for about 2 minutes until it lies completely flat.

  3. 03

Wash the mat before first use.

3 Installation

Never place the mat on a dry tub floor.

On a dry surface the suction cups cannot seal, and the mat can lift or slide.

01

Clean the tub floor. Remove all soap, baby wash, bath oil, lotion and cleaning product residue.

02

Run water over the tub floor until the surface is fully wet. You can also install the mat in shallow standing water. In both cases, press every suction cup down.

03

Lay the mat down, suction cups facing down, starting in the middle of the tub floor.

04

Press firmly from the center outward until every suction cup forms a tight seal.

05

Press extra firmly along the front end (faucet side) and along all edges.

06

Test the mat: try to slide it and try to lift a corner. If it moves or lifts, remove it, rinse it and start again at step 1.

4 Before every bath or shower

Do not use bath oil or baby oil with the mat.

They reduce grip and loosen the suction cups. Bubble bath and some baby washes can also reduce grip: rinse the mat if it feels slippery or starts to lift.
